FREE BET - Regular punter's approach
The rule is almost every time the same... Deposit money, place your stake and get promised bet to use. Some bookies will offer you a free bet when your first bet was lost, other will return your stake. Some free bets will be stake returned, other not. Few bookies will want you to place your bet at certain odds in order to get a freebie, while other wont mind. Always read the rules of a free bet! You must read and understand the conditions to fulfil in order to get this bet. Sounds complicated, but it's not really...
OK, I deposited my money and placed my first bet... what now?
Let's assume you don't do anything on Betfair about this bet yet... you can either:
- Win your bet and get a free bet to use
- Lose your bet and get a stake back or free bet stake returned or not
So there is a risk of losing your money in order to get a free bet. Some bookies will offer you money back, while other will give you a free bet stake not returned. So, a free bet doesn't necessary sound to be free anymore...?
Make the FREE BET risk free and turn it to guaranteed profit!
Have a look at this brilliant legit method to secure guaranteed profits from bookies' free bets without any risk.
To use this method you will need your Betfair account and open an account with some internet bookmaker (See the list of bookies below for details). There are two stages in this process:
- Placing a qualifying bet to receive a free bet
- Cashing out the free bet
Stage 1 - Qualifying bet
You will need to find a match that is offered by both Betfair and the Bookmaker. That's not all, the odds on one of the teams in this game should be as close to each other as possible. The lowest, the better. The idea is to BACK this team with your money using your Bookmaker account and LAY it on Betfair.
There is a brilliant website on the internet (www.bet72.com), which has a fantastic tool called OddsMatcher. It's free to use and will find the best possible matches for you in seconds. You can use OddsMatcher by clicking here.
Have a look at the example below:
Choose a bookmaker you want to open account with from the list on the right or read more about each on the bottom of this page.
Bookmaker: BETFRED. Free Bet: £50
All you have to do is to choose from the list "BETFRED" in the Bookmaker tab and switch from BETDAQ to BETFAIR in the second tab. Also remember to select Qualifying bet underneath.
OddsMatcher will automatically find the matches that are available with Betfred and Betfair with the closest odds.
Please also note that you are given some info such as: Free bet is stake not returned and Qualifying bet must be placed at odds of 2.00 or above.
It came up with a list of best matches.
Let's take for example the first from the list: Fleetwood vs Wycombe
Outcome: Fleetwood
Back Odds: 2.60 (Odds avaiable to back with Betfred)
Lay Odds: 2.56 (Odds available to lay with Betfair)
Closeness: 101.56% (We want it as close to 100% as possible, over 100% is even better)
Press Go next to this game to see instructions and stakes for your bets.
The stakes for your both bets with Betfred and Betfair:
You Back Fleetwood for £50 with Betfred (Possible return £80)
You Lay Fleetwood for £51.79 with Betfair (Liability £80.80)
Basically, you will have overall loss of £0.80 to obtain the FREE BET.
As the requirement is to place the qualifying bet at odds of 2.00 or above, this is example can be used for our bet.
Congratulations, you have earned yourself the FREE BET!
I mentioned before, that the lower odds the better. So as long as we have closeness near 100% and there is no minimum odds requirement for the qualifying bet, we can pay even less for our free bet. Have a look below, where I chose the second match from the list with odds of 1.53 and 1.51.
So in this case, our loss is only £0.22 in order to get the FREE BET. But we can't use this match as the minimum odds of qualifying bet must be 2.00 or greater.
Stage 2 - Cashing out your free bet.
Obviously you could just have a free bet that you could win or lose. But I will show you how to secure a profit no matter what the outcome.
We open again the OddsMatcher and select both Betfred and Betfair. The only thing we need to change is from Qualifying bet to Free Bet (Either stake returned or not, this depends on bookmaker). In this case the free bet is stake not returned.
And the OddsMatcher does the job for us again in seconds. Same principle, both odds as close to 100% as possible.
But this time the rule is the higher odds, the better.
Basically, if you back and lay at higher odds you can gain a higher % of your stake not returned free bet.
Select the best match and press Go to see stakes for your bets:
Let's choose FC Livingston vs Hamilton (Odds 2.75 / 2.74)
Instructions:
Back Hamilton at 2.75 with Betfred for £50 FREE BET stake
LAY Hamilton at 2.74 with Betfair for £32.53 (Liability of £56.60)
So no matter the outcome, you will make profit of £30.90 (including Betfair's commission). Your profit will be in one of your accounts and you can withdraw it later on without any problems.
Few more points:
- Check available odds on both Bookmaker and Betfair. If they changed, you will need different stakes.
- For Cashing out free bets use matches with higher odds for the highest gains of stake not returned free bets. See the table below for approximate % returns:
50% at odds of 2.00
60% at odds of 2.63
70% at odds of 3.70
80% at odds of 6.00
90% at odds of 20
94% at odds of 100
Bear in mind, that when laying at some very high odds you will need bigger amounts of money in your Betfair account to cover the liability. It's safe to aim for 60-70%.
- Darren's website www.bet72.com offers plenty of news and latest bookies' promotions and offers. He is also a really great gut, who will be happy to help you if you have any questions.
Bonus bagging (presented below) is a fantastic way of building up your Betfair account for trading. You can use that with pretty much every online bookmaker, but please read carefully conditions of free bets. For the latest free bets click on the bookie banners on this side.
I wish I could have a fresh start with every bookie... However, bookies tend to run some great promotions for existing customers, giving away free bets that you can cash out as shown above!
